We've been picked!

Dear God... what have we done???
Ok, actually we are thrilled that we have been chosen as POTENTIAL birth parents to a little girl due in mid July.
At this point in the process we know precious little about the birth mother and her circumstances. We are set to meet with her and our agency counselor next week. They mostly say that once a birth mom has picked your book (the profile book we made to tell them about us and our families and friends) it is normally a pretty done deal. There are still some possible bumps in the road that can change things on her end or ours, but for the most part this should be it!

I want to thank my sister and my pals Joy, Julie, and Janet for already freaking me out about how short 3 months really is to get everything ready. Joy did make a (freakishly, obsessively) long list of the things we really need and don't. People have already given us a LOT of our needs, which is fantastic! (Thanks Steff, Jess, Joy, Jules, Teresa...who am I missing???) But while I was swimming this morning, I had the thought, "I have to find a pediatrician." Call the daycare at VU...you get the idea. My brains are as mush already...and I'm not even pregnant.

Well, I am officially a blogger. Look how things are changing already.
So here is the new blog. I will do my best to update you all through this site. My goal is weekly, we'll see if I get any better at meeting goals now that I am going to be a mom...Woah.
